This CE module examines the major implications of the three basic program models or strategies for conducting employee wellness programs. The three major program models include the “Feel Good” Wellness program model, the “Traditional” Wellness program model and the “Results-Driven Wellness program model. Each model has a set of attributes and implications that determine the amount of behavior change that the program will produce. For each of the 3 models the typical set of targets, participation rates, program costs, expected ROI and the companion interventions are discussed along with the organizational characteristics that fit each of the major models. The primary implication of this CE module is that the major program models for wellness fit better when paired with specific organizational characteristics.
