This module provides an in-depth look at the technical issues involved in employee health benefits for those with limited understanding of this area. Beginning with some of the landmark historical events employer-provided health benefits are traced from the early twentieth century up to today’s health care reform Law. Issues of eligibility provisions, basic covered services, cost sharing structures, health cost management requirements are discussed using a major manufacturer as a sample case.
