This tool contains a detailed listing of injury prevention skills. Our definition of “Injury Prevention” is as follows: “The set of skills each individual needs to minimize their personal risk of injury at work, at home, in a vehicle and in recreational pursuits. Injury prevention is broadly defined as activities to prevent, ameliorate, treat, and/or reduce injury-related morbidity, disability and death.” The focus of this supplemental intervention strategy for use in worksite wellness programs is preventing injuries at work, at home, while travelling and while recreating. Data for targeting of these injury risks cab come from medical claims, workers comp claims, disability claims, FMLA claims and survey tools.
