This study on the preventable health care costs paid by the State of California provides a clear and rigorous rationale for wellness.  It provides key data and methodology for analyzing these factors for any organization.  The study finds that 22% of the health benefit costs of California state employees are amenable to reduction through well-designed wellness and preventive programming.
